One of the founding cities of Greece – very powerful in the 12-15th century BC – Mycenaen’s were fierce warriors and great engineers who designed and build remarkable bridges, fortification walls and beehive-shaped tombs, all employing Cyclopean masonry and elaborate drainage and irrigation systems.
