We value children and their families! Each is gift from God, created uniquely, with a different story. We want every child and their family to know they are part of God’s story – a story that gives life and freedom!

We work diligently to offer programs that:

  • support parents in their God-given roles
  • nurture kids in a variety of ways to help them experience the excitement and sweetness of knowing God’s love and learning to love
  • endeavour to keep our children and leaders safe. Plan to Protect is a policy we use to guide this process.

Sunday Mornings:

After joining corporate worship for welcome and singing on Sunday mornings, children are invited to attend age-appropriate and fun Bible-based programs.  Care is also offered for all infants and toddlers.  Sign-in and sign-out are required up to grade 4 to keep our children’s areas safe.

Please register your children for all programs and practice signing in and out weekly.

Ministry Leaders

  • Ruth Falk

    Director of Children's & Family Ministries -

Ruth experienced small-town life in South Korea during her formative years. Ruth is the fourth-generation Christian in her family, and they attended a historic church in their community before moving to a bigger centre. In her childhood, Ruth came to know and love the Lord and the Bible, finding 2 Thessalonians 5:16-18 to be her favourite and most formational verses – a “life motto”. As an adult, she has additionally found great formation and encouragement in verses 19-24.
In 1999, Ruth and family immigrated to Canada. Through the University of Alberta, Ruth completed a business degree majoring in entrepreneurship and minoring in music. Ruth and Matt met through music classes and were married in 2011. In addition to her professional experiences in business and teaching, Ruth has led Sunday School classes and been involved in other ministry areas such as youth and musical productions for many years. She is excited to share her experience with our church family.

  • Kara Skeoch

Children's Ministry & Plan To Protect Administrator -

Kara and her husband John have been part of our church since 2010! They were part of the core team that launched our Mission Heights site, and their family has been growing in our fellowship over the past few years. They have three young, fun-loving boys who enjoy the church community with them.

Kara was raised in a Christian family near Grande Prairie, in the rural community of LaGlace and to this day desires to continually preach the gospel of grace to herself, that God’s great mercy and love would transform how she thinks and therefore how she lives, all to His glory. Throughout the years she has grown in her gifts, skills and passions both through volunteer work and professional work in church, missionary and business endeavours. Kara says she is grateful for the opportunity to serve as an Administrative Assistant for Children’s Ministries and believes it is truly a great marrying of her God-given gifts, skills, and passions with her current season of life.

One of Kara’s favorite Bible verses is Ephesians 4:2-5:
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved”
