Reflections on Revival #2

Revival. What about it?  Does it have anything to do with me?  Good question.  Only you know the answer to that.  What does your heart say?  Is it hungry?  Is it thirsty?

A starving body needs reviving.  Is that starving body you?  If so, revival is for you!  God delightfully invites you to life.  Well, what do I do?  Again, good question.  Only God knows how to revive you.  Seek him with your whole heart and He will be found (Jer.29:13).  If life holds darkness, confusion, devastation, no purpose, He is here for you.  Revival begins in your heart.

Administered CPR is totally useless if there is a blockage in the suffocating person’s throat.  It doesn’t matter how much air is pumped into him, if there is an obstacle, the air will not reach his lungs.  Ask God if there is anything that is blocking you from revival.

O Lord, breathe your passion into my being.  I need you.  Show me if there is anything in my life that blocks you from satisfying my soul.  I long for my soul to be content and full of joy.  I long to find you, the real you!   I invite you, O Lord, to speak to me.
